Plans and credits

Reading filings is free and requires no account. A free account adds 100 AI credits, and the paid plans add monthly credits, stronger AI models, exports, and higher limits.

Free features

These cost no credits and require no paid plan:

  • Reading any filing, in the clean layout, with the tables intact.
  • Searching a filing, jumping to sections, and the contents list.
  • Growth and common-size views.
  • Copying a single table to your clipboard.
  • Saving any table as an image.
  • Exporting the whole filing as Markdown.
  • Comparing a filing to an earlier one, which never uses AI.
  • Global filings search across every filing on EDGAR since 2001, with a daily allowance on each plan.

Reading requires no account. Comparing filings, the AI features, saved filings, notes, table images, and Markdown export require a free one, and so does global filings search.

How credits work

AI actions spend credits. A free account starts with 100 credits, granted once, and the paid plans add credits every month.

On the Standard model, the costs are:

  • Run Sift on a filing: 3 to 10 credits by length.
  • Ask this filing chat message: 3 credits, on every model.
  • Analyze a table: 3 credits.
  • Ask AI a question: 2 credits.

Sift is priced by the filing's length. A filing under 2,000 words costs 3 credits, one under 15,000 words costs 6, and a full report costs 10. Only the text counts, not the tables.

The Run Sift button shows the price for the filing you have open, so you know before you spend. You pay once per filing and model, so turning Sift back on for the same filing is free. "Re-run" starts a fresh analysis and charges the full price again.

Stronger models cost more. The Pro model multiplies what Sift, table analysis, and Ask AI cost by 10, and the Max model by 30. So a 10-credit Sift run is 100 credits on Pro and 300 on Max. The Standard model is a good default, and it's the one a free account uses.

Unused plan credits roll into the next month, up to one month's worth, and rolled-over credits expire a month later. Credits you buy as top-ups never expire.

Using SECSift in your AI chat

The MCP server connects SECSift to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI chats. Credits spent there come out of the same balance as the site, at the same rates.

The tools that don't spend credits share a daily allowance of 1,000 calls on the Free plan, 10,000 on Analyst, and 30,000 on Pro. Merging a table across filings needs a paid plan, the same as on the site.

Plans

Free

A free account starts with 100 credits. That's enough to Sift 10 full reports on the Standard model, or to send up to 30 messages in the Ask this filing chat.

Save up to 10 filings across 3 folders, and keep up to 20 notes per filing. Your account keeps your last 10 filing chats. When credits run low, buy more anytime.

Analyst

Analyst costs $15 a month, or $144 a year on annual billing. The plan comes with 1,000 credits a month, up to 330 chat messages if you spend them on nothing else.

Analyst adds:

  • The Pro and Max AI models.
  • Exports to CSV, Excel, and PDF, and downloads of a filing's images.
  • Browsing and merging similar tables across filings.
  • AI names for uncaptioned tables and exhibits.
  • Custom Ask AI buttons.
  • Alerts for up to 25 companies and owners, and up to 10 keywords.
  • Room for 120 saved filings across 100 folders, and 100 notes per filing.
  • Your last 120 filing chats.

Pro

Pro costs $30 a month, or $240 a year on annual billing. The plan comes with 3,000 credits a month, up to 1,000 chat messages if you spend them on nothing else, and the cheapest top-ups.

Pro has everything in Analyst, plus:

  • Alerts for up to 100 companies and owners, and up to 30 keywords.
  • Room for 250 saved filings across 200 folders, and 300 notes per filing.
  • Your last 250 filing chats.

Note: Credits are one shared pool, so the chat numbers above are ceilings, not separate allowances. Spending credits on Sift or table analysis leaves fewer for chat.

Changing, pausing, and cancelling

To change your plan, select your account at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose "Plans and credits". Upgrades and switches to annual apply right away, and you pay the new plan minus credit for the time you already paid for.

Switching from annual to monthly on the same plan also applies right away, and your unused annual time turns into account credit that covers your next bills. Moving down a tier waits until your period ends.

Monthly plans can also pause for 1, 3, or 6 months, starting when the period you paid for ends. Nothing is charged during a pause, your account works like a free one, and credits you bought as top-ups stay yours.

To cancel, open "Plans and credits" and select "Manage subscription" at the bottom of the dialog. A cancelled plan runs through the period you paid for.

Buying more credits

On any plan, you can buy one-time top-up packs of 250 or 750 credits. Paid plans pay less for them:

  • Free: 250 credits for $10, or 750 for $25.
  • Analyst: 250 credits for $6, or 750 for $15.
  • Pro: 250 credits for $5, or 750 for $12.

Top-up credits never expire, and you see the exact price before you buy.
