Every DEFM14A, SC TO-T, SC 13E3 and SC TO-I filed with SEC EDGAR in the last six months, newest first, leaving out amendments. A merger vote is the DEFM14A, the final proxy a company sends its shareholders before they vote on a merger, a SPAC’s merger included. A tender offer is the SC TO-T a buyer files when it offers to buy the shares directly. Going private is the SC 13E3 filed when insiders or other affiliates take a company private. A buyback offer is the SC TO-I a company files when it offers to buy back its own shares or other securities, leaving out the routine repurchase offers of private funds.

Deal closed is the 8-K Item 2.01 a company files when an acquisition or a sale of assets closes. Most are asset deals rather than company mergers, so those filings show only when you select Deal closed under Type. Exchange is where the SEC’s list of tickers says the shares trade now, blank where it names none. Industry is the SIC classification EDGAR holds for the company, blank where it holds none.
