What is SECSift?
SECSift turns any filing a public company sends to the SEC into a clean, readable page. Reading is free and requires no account. Optional AI flags the parts that matter, so a 200-page report takes minutes instead of hours.
Open your first filing
- Go to the SECSift home page.
- Type a ticker, a company name, or a CIK number. A CIK is the SEC's own ID for a company.
- Select the company, then select a filing. The newest report opens by default.
- To get the AI read, click Run Sift in the top right.
What you can do
Everything below works on a filing once it is open:
- The whole filing on one page: Tables stay tables, footnotes stay attached, and nothing is reformatted away.
- Contents list and full-filing search: Jump to any section, or search every word and every table at once.
- Sift: Marks the lines that change the story and dims the routine legal text around them.
- Compare: Marks what is new, what changed, and what was removed since an earlier filing.
- Tables to CSV or Excel: Copy one table, or merge the same table across years into a single grid.
- Ask AI and notes: Ask about a passage you highlight, and keep private notes on it.
What it costs
Reading and comparing filings are free. The AI features (Sift, Ask AI, table analysis) require a free account, which starts with 100 credits. See Plans and credits for the full breakdown.
Note: SECSift never changes a company's words or numbers. What you read is exactly what the company filed. The AI is a helper, and it can be wrong, so check its notes against the filing. Nothing on SECSift is investment advice.
