Find a filing
Search for a company, select a filing, and open it. You can keep several filings open at once and save the ones you want to come back to.
Search
Use the search box on the home page or the search bar in the app. You can search three ways:
- Ticker: The stock symbol, like
MSFTorNVDA. - Company name: Part of the name works, like
Alibaba. - CIK: The SEC's own ID number for a company, if you have it.
Select the company, and SECSift shows its filings, newest first.
The filings list
Each row tells you what the filing is at a glance:
- Form: The type, like a 10-K (annual report) or a 6-K (a foreign company's update). See Filings we support for what each one means.
- Period: The quarter or year it covers, like
Q2 2026orFY2025. - Filed: The date the company sent it to the SEC.
Click a row to open it. If you do not select one, the newest periodic report opens for you.
"Filter" narrows the list to the forms you want, and it starts on the periodic reports. Click a column header to sort by form, period or filing date. Your choice sticks while you keep the tab open.
Tabs
Every filing you open gets its own tab at the top, like tabs in a web browser. Keep a company's 10-K and 10-Q side by side, or line up a few companies you are comparing. You can have up to 10 tabs open.
Your library
The library tracks your filings two ways, and both sync to your account:
- Recently viewed: The filings you opened lately, so you can carry on where you left off. This fills in on its own.
- Saved: Filings you selected to keep. Click the star on a filing to save it, and sort saved filings into folders.
Because the library is tied to your account, your recently viewed and saved filings follow you to any device you sign in on. How many you can save depends on your plan. See Plans and credits.
Note: Your open tabs live in this browser, not your account. Sign in on your phone and your laptop's tabs will not follow. Your saved and recently viewed filings do follow, which is what the library is for.
