What's SECSift?

SECSift turns any filing a public company sends to the SEC into a clean, readable page. Reading is free and requires no account. Optional AI flags the parts that matter, so a 200-page report takes minutes instead of hours.

Open your first filing

Opening a filing takes a few seconds:

  1. Go to the SECSift home page.
  2. Type a ticker, a company name, or a CIK number. A CIK is the SEC's own ID for a company.
  3. Select the company, and its newest report opens. Select any other filing from the list to open that one instead.
  4. Optionally, click "Run Sift" to get the AI analysis read on the filing.

What you can do

Here's what you can do with any filing:

  • Whole filing on one page: Every section and table in one clean, scrolling document, with every word and number as filed.
  • Navigation and find: Jump to any section, table, or exhibit from the left sidebar, or search every word and table cell with AND, OR, and NOT.
  • Tables: Copy tables, save them as images, and switch on growth and common-size views. On a paid plan, download tables to CSV or Excel, or merge the same table across years.
  • Compare: See what's new, changed, and removed since an earlier filing of the same form, marked right in the document, down to single numbers in tables.
  • Sift: AI that flags the passages that matter as positive, notable, or a concern, gives each section a short read, and fades the routine legal text.
  • Ask this filing: Chat with the whole filing, and get answers that link to the passages they cite.
  • Ask AI: Highlight any passage to ask the AI about the text, copy a link to that exact spot, or add your own flag.
  • Notes: Keep private notes on exact passages, organize them with tags, and carry them into a PDF export.
  • Exports: Download the whole filing as Markdown, or on a paid plan as a PDF, a set of tables, or the filing's images.
  • Tabs and library: Keep up to 10 companies open in tabs, and save filings to folders that sync to your account.

Note: SECSift never changes a company's words or numbers. What you read is exactly what the company filed. The AI is completely optional but will help speed up your analysis process.
